Skill changes show active when a large skill change is reverted

Modified on Wed, 18 Jan, 2023 at 4:29 PM

User Symptoms:

When a large skill change is being reverted and there are other skill changes set to implement within 15-20 minutes of that revert, those other skills show as active even though the agent is still on the reverted base skills.

Technical Details:

A large skill change (I.e. a skill action that involves many agents, and possibly many skills as well) needs more time to fully revert.  If another, subsequent skill action (that involves any of the same agents) is set to implement soon after and actually starts to implement while the previous large skill change is still being reverted, the overlap may cause issues and display the wrong status.

General rule of thumb: the definition of a "large skill change" probably starts around 100-200 agents or so, but becomes more of an issue the higher the numbers of agents.

Recommended Workaround:

Workaround is to leave at least 30 minutes time between a large skill change reverting and another skill change being implemented that involves the same agents.

Resolution:

A solution is being reviewed as a potential enhancement for a future release.
